On Thursday 2nd July at 2pm, Intercloud9 is bringing together another small group of senior union leaders for a 90-minute invite-only virtual roundtable.
This peer-led session is designed specifically for Heads of Operations and senior membership or IT leaders within UK trade unions who are responsible for guiding their organisation through digital change.
Those who joined us on 9th June will be back for the rescheduled session and the conversation is already underway. If you haven’t yet secured your place, a few slots remain.
The discussion is framed around a question we keep hearing across the sector: how do you design and govern a good digital ecosystem – not just whether to adopt one?
The peers in this room are already wrestling with these decisions. This is the conversation where they’re talking about it openly.
- How do you define your integration and identity architecture before procuring, so you end up with a coherent ecosystem rather than a collection of tools that don’t communicate?
- What are the real challenges of data migration and reporting when data is spread across multiple platforms – particularly given the subscription and financial complexity most large unions carry?
- How do you structure a procurement that evaluates an ecosystem combination rather than a single platform, without handing architectural control to an implementer with their own commercial interests?
- What does artificial intelligence mean for the architecture decisions unions are making right now – and are those decisions positioning organisations well for the next decade?
- If the administrative burden on membership teams is reduced through automation, what does that mean for how unions deploy their people in the moments that matter most to members?
These aren’t hypothetical questions. They’re the ones union leaders are navigating right now and often without a clear peer group to think them through with. The roundtable operates under the Chatham House Rule: no vendors, no implementers, just senior leaders speaking frankly about what they’re seeing and what they’re getting wrong.
A short, anonymised summary of the themes will be circulated to all attendees within a week of the session.
